From march 2005, joining Regions are involved in the project as full partners: they are now actively engaged in the handbook revision and will carry out surveys together with Understand partners.

---

We're happy to inform you that the UNDERSTAND Steering Committee decided on March 18th 2005 that joining regions should be treated as full partners. This means that joining regions :
a) can fully participate to the Working Groups (one per each domain) for the definition of the final version of the methodology, in the chosen domains;
b) have full access to the internal project on-line repository;
c) will carry out surveys in the chosen domains and publish the results in the on-line database, thereby accessing all other partners data.

Participation is completely free, but you will have to cover your own costs.

If you are interested in joining the project, please fill in the Memorandum of Cooperation.
You will receive your username and password to access to the website section "Restricted to Pertners" with all project documents and tools (repository and DB).
You will be asked about the domain(s) you're interested to work on, in order to allow you to contribute to the methodology and to carry out the survey, including you in the working group mailing list.
You can take part in all WGs, in some, or only in one: the important thing is that you commit to carry out the surveys in the domains you take part to. The domains are: broadband infrastructure; e-government; e-business; ICT usage by citizens.
